DJ Chachi: Forever Boots

January 24, 2010

I’m not exactly sure who this DJ Chachi character is, but he’s got a CD entitled “Split Personalities” dropping February 1, and this is one of the tracks that will be featured. Forever boots is a mashup between “Get on Your Boots” by Justice & “Forever” by Mr. Degrassi. The song has it’s ups and downs like any performance, but def worth a listen.

Heartbreak Drake 4.0 UNOFFICIAL

January 18, 2010

This is not an official mixtape, so ladies (if there are any of you out there) please leave your under garments on, and fellas, well I guess you can just carry on with your normal activities. While it may not be official, it does feature two never before heard tracks from Drizzy though they may be a few years old, they are still hot fire, well to be honest I personally only like My New Shit, but don’t be afraid to check ’em both out, difference in opinion make the world go round…..and can unfortunately lead to some pretty bad stuff too.

Drake: Successful Unreleased Verse

January 12, 2010

So after Drake  displayed his stones by releasing that unbecoming picture of himself in his year book, that’s right heart-break put that picture out of himself in a day in age when rap ego’s are bigger than the budget deficit, he has released this verse which is pretty sweet. The verse also highlights a phone call from Drizzy’s father who he apparently supports if you’ve paid attention to the original track. Enjoy the track, but not more than this new background which you can feel free to comment on to your heart’s content. via.

Drake So Far Gone Named MTV’s Mixtape of the Year

December 14, 2009

Drake’s Mixtape So Far Gone has been named MTV’s Mixtape of the year. I didn’t know that MTV held any sort of authority on things other than the hair gel supply flowing to The Jersey Shore, but apparently they’ve spoken, and someone has listened. When you think about Drake’s position among hip-hop artists today, his case is an incredibly special and gifted one. He’s been nominated for not one but TWO grammy nods which is extremely impressive for a hip-hop rookie, but then one ponders deeper and divulges into the fact that dude doesn’t have an album out. You’ve heard his name, you probably knew he was wheelin around on Degrassi, and he’s got a pair of grammy nods and deal from Cash Money by his 23rd birthday, with no album. The scary thing is that Drake probably doesn’t need an album to continue on the path of success and money, but I’m quite certain his debut album “Thank Me Later” will be one hot album come March Madness.

Drake dropping that he’s friends with the Jonas Brothers. I’d say this could hurt his career, but if being half white, Jewish, Canadian, and playing a paraplegic on a teen sitcom didn’t do it, what’s he got to lose.

39) Fabolous: Throw It In The Bag (Remix)[feat. The-Dream & Drake]

December 7, 2009

A sick remix to the best song off Fab’s newest album…the sped up beat and Drake’s verse kept this at the top of my playlist for at least 3 weeks.

This is the REAL sick piano slow song! I hope the title doesn’t pop up and ruin it.

Drake feat. Kanye, Lil Wayne, Eminem: Forever (Steve Aoki Remix)

December 3, 2009

I’ll be the first to admit that Steve Aoki is my dude, and I have a biased opinion about the majority of his remixes. While this one sounds tantalizing, the techno-funk beat far outweighs the sped up vocals which are suspect…..but there’s good news. The picture above is sweet, and so is the one of Steve Aoki’s sister below, she’s the becoming Asian from one of those Tyrese blunders. via DF.

Drake & Breezy on the Cover of Vibe

December 3, 2009

I’ll field questions in the order from which I posited them to myself. Vibe is still a publication? Yes they’ve been bought out and now function as a BLOG…and a quarterly magazine. Is Drizzy sporting a Shalom Piece? An undeniable yes, he’s finally embracing the chosen side. This latest issue will hit magazine shelves soon and the two titles read Everybody Hates Chris/ Everybody Loves Drake and are available in video snippet form HERE.
