Lil’ Wayne Covers Rolling Stone

February 4, 2010

Lil Wayne sits down with Rolling Stone to talk about his imminent prison bid, the future and relocation of Young Money, and the fact that he’s “looking for to it” with the it in that quote referring to jail. There’s also a 33 photo feature of Wayne’s rise from Bird Man’s towel boy to the over-boss of Young Money. Check out the read here.

DJ Moondance: No Stuntin’ No Cry (Lil Wayne vs Bob Marley)

January 27, 2010

Just look at these two fellas, they both rocked dreads, both were shot, and both had a strong affinity for the sticky green stuff. Bob Marley Mashups are many and rarely good with the exception of Bobb Deep which you should def look into if you’re at a loss. DJ Moondance did his thing and this mashup sounds like it was meant to be, hopefully more stuff like this will drop once Wayne starts his yearlong hibernation. via P&P.

Lil Wayne Rebirth Commercial

December 29, 2009

This nifty 80s montage-liked Lil Wayne Rebirth Commercial will be the first in three video posts made by the Vegan formerly known and still currently known as FRANK. They’ll appear in order of ascending coolness as judged by the aforementioned Vegan so this comes in 3rd place which usually isn’t that bad unless it’s out of three.

Lil’ Wayne: Rebirth (Highlights)

December 18, 2009

Yo I’m completely surprised by this but I have to say that I LOVE the new Lil’ Wayne album.  After Prom Queen and Da Da Da came out I thought it would be garbage but it’s actually really, really dope.  There’s like 3 tracks on there I think that I skip right over but as for the rest they are real solid.  Here are the highlights:

  1. Drop the World (feat. Eminem)
  2. Knockout (feat. Nicki Minaj)
  3. One Way Trip (feat. Kevin Rudolf & Travis Barker)
  4. Runnin (feat. Shanell)
  5. American Dream (feat. Shanell)

Yo Gotti: Women Lie Men Lie (feat. Lil’ Wayne)

Reader Question: Lil Wayne’s Teeth

December 4, 2009

Me and one of our local readers were having a discussion recently, and he prompted me to make it into a post. Lil Wayne has an estimated $150,000 of permanently affixed diamond and gold grills in his mouth, and the burning question is, “what will he do with them when he goes to jail?” In a place where the closest thing to monetary value is cigs, how can over 100Gs in jewels on a 5’5″ frame hope to stand the test of time. He can probably have them surgically removed, but feel free to weigh in on shoutBOX.

Lil’ Wayne: On Fire

Here’s the 3rd single from “Rebirth” which is most likely going to suck but this track aint that bad

Drake feat. Kanye, Lil Wayne, Eminem: Forever (Steve Aoki Remix)

December 3, 2009

I’ll be the first to admit that Steve Aoki is my dude, and I have a biased opinion about the majority of his remixes. While this one sounds tantalizing, the techno-funk beat far outweighs the sped up vocals which are suspect…..but there’s good news. The picture above is sweet, and so is the one of Steve Aoki’s sister below, she’s the becoming Asian from one of those Tyrese blunders. via DF.
