Curren$y, or as he’s known in the streets and on the blogs as Curren$y Spitta is a renissance man with a voice that hearkens back to the mid 90s when autotune was only used by Cher. New Orleans prodigal son released this tape right before the Super Bowl, but it may have been overlooked amid the hoopla. Curren$y could have done absolutely anything after the soothing sounds of “Girl from Ipanema” in Portuguese(?) and I still would have posted this video. Curren$y hasn’t been hyped as some of the other members of last year’s Freshman Class, but this easy listening classic, with the visuals to match may help change that, enjoy yourselves.
