Like pretty much everything in Slim Thug’s career, his “Salute Me” video featuring lil Ray is extremely low budget, yet also strangely intriguing. Slim thug was originally signed to Swishahouse in the early 90s, who produced the likes of Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire. Mr. Thug realized at a young age that if he could cut out the middleman in the production and sale of his mixtapes, and put up his own money for studio time, and car-trunk marketing he could make oodles of dollars. Slim has since created his own label the Boss Hogg Outlawz which has been the team name of at least one .500 NYC based mens basketball team. Slim Thug does it again, and he does it his own way, which just goes to show you kids, all you need is a bill counter and a dream.
